One little act of kindness at a time, that's all...
It really never hit me that hard until now. I realize that people, myself included, are far too busy on the wrong things. We seem to think that life is being unfair to us. We have infinite number of reasons to be distracted. We complain about every little thing that we have, or don’t have. We are so consumed by sharing everything that we are doing on the internet that we tend to forget to...

My Teddy Love
it’s byebye topknot time again, new haircut for summer :)
This is my 4-yr old shih tzu, my only furbaby, Teddy. When I was still in pre-dent, we used to go out a LOT! I used to put bows on his long hair and take loads and loads of photographs of him. He’s probably one of the reasons why I was into photography 4 years ago anyway haha. But now, since...

..another thing to tick off my bucket list
I thought this Tagaytay weekend was gonna be a typical overnight getaway. Different, yes. Boring, at times. But it kind of felt good to be disconnected even just for a little while. Wag lang tatagal ng sobra sobra. haha
We stayed at this very “Zen”-ish place called T House. Utopia indeed.
that’s their see through kitchen.. they have fantastic food by the way! :)

What Really Matters Most
Sometimes we need a reminder. We need to set apart the insignificant things from the things that really matter the most in our lives and in our relationships. Oftentimes, we lose focus and neglect the things that are of utmost importance. Love, although they say is the greatest of them all, will not sustain a relationship by itself. I’ve come up with my own list of things which are...

On Friendship. Words of Wisdom from Patty Laurel
“ I grew up in the 80s-90s, in the era of patintero sa kalye, biking around the village, and wholesome sleepovers. We didn’t have Xboxes and Ipads, we had empty streets and chalk and we played piko until sunset. We didn’t have Facebook, we had slambooks and answered “What is Love?” with “God is Love.” We didn’t send each other one liners via text, we...

The 3 Keys to Lasting Happiness
A must read article written by Gretchen Rubin of Good Housekeeping magazine When I talk to people about happiness,one question that often arises is,
“Sure, happiness has many elements. But if you had to pick the most important thing, what is the key to happiness?” It’s a question that can be answered in different ways, depending on what framework you use to ponder the issue,...

Got to Go to Guam!
Hafa Adai! I’m finally home after my 9-day Guam trip. I needed this trip so badly after being through the most gruesome semester of my entire college life. This truly was a well deserved holiday break for me. To sum it all up, it was filled with stress-free days with my family, long hours of shopping marathons, and world cuisine at its finest. Our tour guide (my papa) knows Guam by heart...

My Birthday in Guam
..because i just had to pose ala Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s for my birthday :) haha
Apart from the many firsts I’d gotten out of this trip, I was also able to celebrate my birthday the guam way! I totally felt like a spoiled little girl haha. For my birthday salubong,we had a very delicious home-cooked Filipino dinner at a local bar while having some booze and a...

The Mayonnaise Jar and Two Cups of Coffee
When things in your life seem, almost too much to handle, When 24 Hours in a day is not enough, Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar And proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students, if the jar was...

It's the LOVE month! ♥
Since we never got to spend valentine’s day as a couple last year (as i was in Bohol with my family), I really wanted this one to be special.. BUT… thanks to my oh-so-loving professors who decided to give their major exams (FOUR in total) on valentine’s day and the morning after, I failed to prepare anything for this day, BOOOHOOOO :(

Instructions for Life by The Dalai Lama
Take into account that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.
Follow the three R’s: - Respect for self, - Respect for others and - Responsibility for all your actions.
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck.
Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.
Don’t let a little dispute...

Boodle Fight! :)
Boodle fight is a military style of eating where long tables are prepared and food are on top of the banana leaves. Viands and rice ready to eat using your bare hands, jugs of water are prepared on the side to wash hands before the “eating combat”. With the signal to start the boodle fight, everyone aims for his/her position.
Today, the family had a boodle fiesta lunch! It’s...

I have learned
I’ve learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them;
I’ve learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don’t care back;
I’ve learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I’ve learned that you can get by on charm, for about fifteen minutes. After that, you’d better know something;

ONE DAY.. SOMEDAY.
A friend of mine opened his wife’s underwear drawer and picked up a silk paper- wrapped package:
‘This, - he said - isn’t any ordinary package.’
He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box.
‘She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion.
Well, I guess this...

…I am thankful, because.. I have adorable, charming and lovable pediatric patients. Without their cooperation and trust, putting a drill or even a mirror into their mouths would be impossible. Sometimes, we’d give anything to be a child once again. A child who worries about nothing but their lost toy or their wounded knee, a child free from lies, hesitations and fears. A child who...

12 Things I Wish I Knew at 25
Originally posted by Rev. James Martin, S.J. A few are insights from the great spiritual masters that I’ve adapted for my own life. Maybe a few will help someone you know who’s 25. Maybe one or two will help you.
1. First up: Stop worrying so much! It’s useless. (I.e. Jesus was right.)
